I’ve done it all. You name it and I’ve tried it. So many people claim to know how to lose weight fast. So what is the secret? There isn’t one. You can lose weight quickly, usually around 10 pounds in 2 weeks. However, this is only a temporary fix. You need to determine why you want to lose the weight and what kind of weight you need to lose. Is it prom weight, high school reunion weight, wedding dress weight or is it weight loss for your health?

Lose Weight Quickly

If you just need a quick 10 pounds off before a social event, then you need to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day, cut your fats and carbohydrates and exercise to get your metabolism going. You will look great in that dress or in that bathing suit. There are several online calorie counter sites. You can put in your weight, age, height and how much exercise you intend to do and they will tell you how many calories you will burn. Combine that with counting the calories you take in, and you have your weight loss. One other key to losing weight fast is…sleep. Your body needs to recover from what you are putting it through, so get plenty of sleep each night.

Lose Weight the Right Way

For a time I was watching my caloric intake and walking 4 miles per day and I felt great. I lost the weight fast. But it was too much for my body to handle. I was eating too few calories and exercising too much. My body retaliated. First the ankle went out, then the back. And before you know it you are back in your old routine of watching TV and eating chips or ice cream in the recliner. I lost the weight, but gained it back because I did it the wrong way.

You can lose that 10 pounds fast, but use it as a starting point. All of the water you will be drinking will flush your system of a lot of impurities as will watching your fat intake. Get with a doctor to plan out a diet and exercise regimen. By planning and doing things the right way, you will never have to wonder how to lose weight fast again. Wouldn’t you like to shop for that bathing suit and not worry about how those harsh store lights make you look?
