Most people who fight with the numbers on the scale can agree that when it comes to losing weight, we prefer the quick and dirty methods to the tried and true methods. Losing weight fast is usually attributed to some fad diet of the year that everybody jumps in and tries. The problem with these types of diets is that they are typically unsustainable and as a result every pound and ounce is gained right back from where it was lost. Hence the term “Yo-Yo Dieting.”
There are some people who have no problem doing exercises and watching what they eat in order to stay lighter. These are the people who benefit from losing weight fast and make the rest of the population jealous. For the rest of us, here are a few ways to lose weight fast. If you can't keep up with the diet once you have dropped the initial weight, at least try to add some exercise to your routine so that you won't gain it back as quickly.
4 Ways to Lose Weight Fast
Drink lots of water - Make sure you're getting your regular 8 glasses a day but about a half an hour before you eat drink another big glass of water. This will take away the urgency to eat and also fill you up faster.
Eat the veggies on your plate first and then the meat. If you eat slowly enough, by the time you get to the rest you may only eat a portion of what you would have normally eaten, if any at all.
Have you ever seen an overweight vegetarian? Neither have I. With this being said, cut out meat and all animal byproducts for a month and see what happens. The only important thing with doing something drastic like this is to make sure you take vitamins to make sure you are getting all the nutrients you need.
The Atkins Diet - Not healthy for you but it really does work just eating meat. But this is not a long term fix; make sure when you resume to a healthy balanced diet you are prepared to do some exercise to keep your results.
No matter what quick fix to weight loss you choose to do always remember to make sure you talk to your doctor first. You need to know if your body has any issues that would make it unwise for you to go on a diet.
