Decorating with a Flameless Candle
67
A flameless candle is one of the most ingenious additions to any home décor; being battery powered and flameless, they can be placed anywhere without any restrictions. You do not have to worry about placing them near a power outlet nor do you have to worry about placing them too close to any inflammable material. Additionally, the fragrance additions that some models come with will allow you to add a custom scent to any living area you choose.
The Versatility of a Flameless Candle
A flameless candle looks so realistic that visitors might have to look twice before they realize it for what it is. The versatility of being operated by rechargeable batteries also allows a decorator to place one of these in what would normally be inaccessible or unusable spaces around the home, including tall shelving units, near ceiling height shelves in kitchens and the tiniest of stairwell window nooks.
There are 4 inch and 6 inch models that are quite popular, especially with the addition of fragrance fans. Some of the larger models can also come with a timer, so that you can program the candle to light and extinguish as you want. There are also candles available with a remote control wand, for even more convenience and versatility.
Set the Mood with a Flameless Candle
Using a flameless candle to stage any area of your home is so easy. By combining the soft and flickering LED lights with the proper scent addition, you can set any mood you wish. In the living room, or any room you might wish to entertain in, use a vanilla scent to achieve a mellow, relaxing atmosphere. In the kitchen, get the appetites growing with some special apple and cinnamon, or even sugar cookie scent packets set into the built-in fragrance units.
Upstairs, bedtime can get a whole lot easier with scents of lavender and orange blossom. Imagine fussy children being lulled to sleep with soft flickering light and the soft scent of lavender following them into sweet dreams. In the master bedroom, put on some vanilla and rose blossoms for a mellow and romantic scene. And, if you have a home office anywhere in the home, you can achieve the focus and energy you want with the uplifting aroma of lemons.
